Escrow on TRON
Vaultion runs on TRON mainnet for USDT, the TRC-20 Tether that most exchanges withdraw by default and that a large share of over-the-counter trades settle in. The escrow contract is the same v4 model used on the EVM networks, so the flow, the fee and the dispute path are the ones you would meet anywhere else on Vaultion. What changes is the wallet, the token list and how the network charges for transactions.

How a TRON escrow runs
Create and fund
Describe the deal, name the other party by their TRON address (the base58 form beginning with T), enter the USDT amount, and choose the buyer review period and the challenge window. Approve USDT for the escrow contract, then fund. The fee is a separate transfer at creation, and each step is its own TRON transaction paid in energy and bandwidth.
The seller delivers
Off-chain, as agreed. Both sides get email notifications as the escrow changes state, and the escrow page shows the review period counting down.
The buyer releases, or the review period runs
Release sends the USDT to the seller. If the buyer does nothing and raises no dispute, the funds can be released to the seller once the review period ends.
Dispute, if needed
Either side opens a dispute, both submit evidence, a Vaultion reviewer rules, and the chosen challenge window runs before the ruling is finalized. Full detail in what happens in a dispute.
Collect
After a ruling, finalizing credits the winner inside the contract and they collect with their own wallet.
TRON or another network for USDT?
USDT is available on five Vaultion networks. The escrow model and the fee are identical on all of them; the differences are where your USDT already sits, what the network charges, and which dispute path you get.
Assisted review is a trust decision
On TRON a Vaultion reviewer settles disputes. It is fast and fee-less, and it means you are trusting Vaultion to rule fairly. A freeze-only guardian can pause a ruling but can never redirect funds, and the contract can only ever pay the buyer or the seller.
Frequently asked
Which tokens work on TRON escrow?
USDT only, the TRC-20 Tether contract at TR7NHqjeKQxGTCi8q8ZY4pL8otSzgjLj6t. The TRON escrow contract’s token allowlist was fixed at deployment and cannot be extended, so USDC, DAI and PYUSD are not available on this rail.
Is Kleros available on TRON?
No. There is no Kleros court on TRON, so every TRON escrow uses Vaultion-assisted review. That path is fee-less and not decentralized: a Vaultion reviewer rules, and you are trusting that reviewer. For Kleros, use Ethereum mainnet.
Which wallet do I need?
TronLink is the reference wallet. MetaMask also works on TRON mainnet. Either way you need TRX in the wallet, because TRON charges transactions in energy and bandwidth, which are bought or burned with TRX.
What does a TRON escrow cost in gas?
TRON meters transactions in energy and bandwidth rather than gas. If your account has neither staked, the network burns TRX to cover them. A token approve and an escrow create are contract calls, so budget a few dollars of TRX for the whole flow. Vaultion receives none of it.
How do I receive the funds after a ruling?
Finalizing credits the winner inside the contract. The winner then collects with their own wallet, which is one more TRON transaction. A plain release, where the buyer pays the seller without a dispute, sends directly.
