Binance Pay alternatives: accept crypto from any wallet
Binance Pay lets people with a Binance account pay merchants with a Binance account, instantly and off-chain. For a store whose buyers all bank with Binance, that is convenient. For everyone else it is a closed door: a buyer paying from MetaMask, Phantom, Trust Wallet or a Ledger cannot use it. Here is how Binance Pay works for merchants, and the alternatives that accept crypto from any wallet.
How Binance Pay works for merchants
To accept Binance Pay you need a Binance account, then you apply as a merchant and pass KYB as a company or KYC as an individual. Payments move off-chain between Binance Pay wallets, so the money lands in your Binance account and stays with Binance until you withdraw it. Binance says access to Binance Pay may be restricted in some regions, and Binance.com does not serve US persons.
On the buyer side, Binance Pay is built for Binance customers paying from their Binance balances. Binance’s fee page does not publish a standard checkout fee for merchants. Its WooCommerce plugin on WordPress.org has around 700 active installs, a 1.6 out of 5 rating, and a warning that it has not been tested with the latest three major WordPress releases.
Why merchants look elsewhere
Reach. A checkout that only Binance customers can use leaves out everyone who keeps crypto in a self-custody wallet, and those are often the buyers most comfortable paying in crypto.
Custody. Revenue that sits in an exchange account is exposed to that exchange’s account reviews, regional restrictions and withdrawal rules.
Eligibility. A merchant account requires a Binance account and verification, which rules out some businesses and regions entirely.
Alternatives that take crypto from any wallet
Vaultion Payments is a free WooCommerce plugin in the WordPress.org directory with no account, no verification and no API key: paste a receiving address and any buyer can pay from any wallet. It takes USDT on TRON and Solana, USDC on Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain and Solana, and BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, TRX, POL and BNB, for 0.75% per payment and nothing monthly. On EVM networks, Solana and TRON the buyer pays your wallet directly, with the fee split off in the same transaction; Bitcoin, Litecoin and the “Send to address” ETH option pass through a Vaultion deposit address and are forwarded after confirmation. It needs a USD store currency.
NOWPayments takes more than 300 coins from any wallet and forwards payments to yours, with an account and API key but no KYC to sign up, for 0.5% to 1% depending on conversion.
BTCPay Server is free, self-hosted and non-custodial, built for Bitcoin and Lightning, with USDT through community plugins.
CoinGate and BitPay are hosted, verified, custodial processors that settle to a bank in fiat, at 1% and 2% plus 25 cents respectively for smaller merchants.
Escrow for high-value orders
Binance Pay, like the processors above, has no way to hold a payment until the buyer confirms delivery. Vaultion Payments can: switch on escrow in USDC or USDT on six networks, and the payment sits in a smart contract, not with Vaultion, until the buyer confirms or the review period ends. The buyer pays the escrow fee (4% below 500 USDC, 3% from 500, 2% from 5,000). Disputes go to Vaultion-assisted human arbitration, which is not decentralized: you are trusting Vaultion’s reviewers. A separate guardian can pause a ruling but never redirect funds.
See it for yourself
Vaultion runs on a published, open-source contract that holds the funds — not Vaultion. You can read it and the locked balance on the block explorer before you send anything.
