Swapzone alternatives: swap aggregators and no-account exchanges compared

Swapzone is an instant-exchange aggregator: it pulls rates from its partner exchanges for the pair you want and lets you swap on the one you pick, with no account and no fee of its own. People look for an alternative when they want a rating of each exchange’s KYC stance before sending, a guarantee if funds do not arrive, or simply a second aggregator to check a quote against. This compares Swapzone with Trocador, the aggregator behind Vaultion’s swap, and with the single exchanges underneath both, using each service’s own pages.

How Swapzone works

Swapzone calls itself a non-custodial instant crypto exchange aggregator. It monitors and compares rates from the exchanges it partners with, 18-plus of them covering 1,000-plus coins, and presents them so you can make the swap on your preferred exchange. There is no registration and no fee from Swapzone itself; the exchange and network fees are inside each rate you see. You choose the pair and amount, give a receiving address, send the deposit to the address the exchange provides, and the exchange sends the other coin when your deposit confirms.

On KYC, Swapzone says it has no KYC or AML procedures of its own, but that some of its partner services may require them. A swap, then, is only as private as the exchange you pick, which is the same position every aggregator is in.

Where Swapzone may not fit

It tells you a partner may ask for KYC, but it does not rate how likely that is for each exchange before you send.

It states no guarantee of its own if an exchange fails to deliver; you deal with the exchange.

Like every aggregator, it is non-custodial only in the sense that Swapzone does not hold your coins; the exchange you pick does, for the minutes the swap takes.

The alternatives

Trocador is the other aggregator. It also takes no account and says it never has access to the funds, and it adds two things: a privacy rating for each exchange, built from the exchange’s terms, how it refunds when a user refuses verification, and its history, and the Trocador Guarantee, which reimburses up to an insured amount per exchange if your funds do not arrive and the exchange cannot show a genuine AML block, excluding D-rated exchanges and mixer-origin funds. Floating and fixed quotes are shown together. Vaultion’s swap is a front end on Trocador with a shorter coin list.

SideShift, ChangeNOW and FixedFloat are single exchanges rather than aggregators. SideShift needs no account, locks a fixed quote for 15 minutes and sends rejected shifts to human review. ChangeNOW takes no account, quotes 1,000-plus coins and gives a flagged swap a three-day verification window. FixedFloat publishes its fees, 0.5% float and 1% fixed plus network fee, and can suspend an order for a source-of-funds check. Each is a fine choice when you already trust that one exchange and do not need a comparison.

Which to use

A second quote to check against, with the widest partner list: Swapzone. A quote with each exchange’s KYC stance and a guarantee shown before you send: Trocador, or Vaultion’s swap on top of it for the main coins. A single venue you already trust: go to it directly. In every case the exchange you choose holds your coins during the swap, and its policy decides what happens if a deposit is flagged.

See it for yourself

Vaultion runs on a published, open-source contract that holds the funds — not Vaultion. You can read it and the locked balance on the block explorer before you send anything.

Frequently asked

Does Swapzone charge a fee?

Swapzone says it charges no fee of its own; the exchange and network fees are built into each rate it shows.

Does Swapzone require KYC?

Swapzone itself has no KYC or AML procedures and no registration. Its partner exchanges may require verification, and the swap happens with the partner.

What is the difference between Swapzone and Trocador?

Both aggregate quotes from partner exchanges with no account. Trocador adds a privacy rating for each exchange and a guarantee that reimburses up to an insured amount if funds do not arrive without a genuine AML block. Vaultion’s swap runs on Trocador.

Is an aggregator non-custodial?

Only in the sense that the aggregator does not hold your coins. The exchange you pick through it holds them from your deposit until it pays out, usually minutes.

Compare the exchanges before you send

Vaultion’s swap quotes BTC, XMR, ETH, SOL and stablecoins across Trocador’s partner exchanges, with each one’s KYC rating shown first. No account, sent to your own address.
